Troy Polamalu Named AFC Defensive Player of the Week and King of Pittsburgh.

King of Pittsburgh

Ok so he wasn’t name king of Pittsburgh yet, but the possibility is still out there. He was however truly named the AFC defensive player of the week, and I’m sure you all know why. Well if you don’t I guess I can recap it for you. On a 2nd and 5 play with 3:23 left in the fourth quarter Troy made one of his signature huge plays. He blitzed was not picked up at all and went straight to the ball knocking it right out of Flacco’s hand giving the Steelers their shot to win the game which they eventually did. His final stat line in the game was 4 tackles 1 assist 0 int’s and 1 FF, not the most impressive line ever though the magnitude of that one play gives him the honors.
